Diversity profiling and gender recognition (10-10-11)
Q Our diversity profiling does not currently ask about gender recognition and we want to change this. The Equality Act made gender reassignment a protected characteristic and it is generally considered good practice to gain an understanding of the needs of people with issues around gender recognition. However, we are struggling to do this in a manner that allows us to use the information effectively and remain within the constraints of the Gender Recognition Act.
